HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -
Hamilton Police arrested a suspect accused of robbing a bank with a hand grenade.
On May 15, the First Financial Bank at 970 Main Street was robbed. Officers were told by bank employees that the suspect entered the bank and wrote on a deposit slip, "Give me all the money or I pull the pin".
He then gave the note to the teller and pulled a hand grenade from his pocket and a pillow case. The teller gave him all of the money in her drawer and the suspect fled the scene.
Police say in an attempt to destroy evidence, the suspect disposed the clothing he wore and had another person get rid of the grenades.
Glenn Chasteen, 25, of Hamilton, was later taken into custody in connection with incident and charged with robbery, tampering with evidence and theft.
Officers were able to locate and arrest Chasteen after receiving a tip from Crime Stoppers.
Detectives say two hand grenades were also found in his home. The Butler County Bomb Squad is trying to determine if they are working or inactive.
