BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The wait is almost over. The finishing touches are being put on the $4.2 million Bowling Green city pool and water park.
It opens Saturday. Officials are expecting the park to draw hundreds of people, and it's all possible thanks to voters passing a levy in 2012.
There's something for everyone. Toddlers can swing above the shallow water, other children, teens and adults can take on the massive slide or the diving board. There's even a lazy river to float along, and plenty of shade to stay out of the summer sun.
Water fitness classes will also be held in the mornings, like water aerobics and water Zumba, but they will need more instructors.
