Sisters of Saint Francis are already gearing up for their annual fundraising
event, with a new effort to raise money.
gala isn't until September, and usually brings in around $100,000 for the
Sisters, but they're hoping a new fundraiser will help them bring in money
while putting money into the pockets of three winners.
will be selling 800 tickets at $50 each. The tickets will go into a raffle, and
the winner will receive $5,000. Second place will get $3,000 and third place
takes home $2,000.
Carol Ann Grace says the rest of the money raised will go toward their
excited because there has been a lot of responses already, and we're hoping to
use that money again for our ministries," she said. "We worked out a plan where
we hope to get $40,000."
year's gala will be September 28. Those who purchase tickets don't have to be
present to win.
