Oberlin man gives fake name during drug bust in Vermilion

VERMILION, OH (WOIO) -
An Oberlin man was busted with drugs in Vermilion.
It happened during a traffic stop on Monday around 6 p.m. on Telegraph Lane.
The driver gave a false name and information during the investigation, but was eventually identified as Thomas Edwards, 21.
A police K9 picked up the odor of narcotics in the car. Approximately 4.85 ounces of suspected marijuana was found hidden inside the vehicle. Several digital scales and $1,323.26 in cash was also seized.
Edwards was charged with trafficking in marijuana, driving under suspension, providing false information, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
