A heavy downpour caused a flash flood in Parma.
It happened Monday during the rush hour. The rain came down so fast it flooded Ridge Road near the Ridgewood Golf Course.
It backed up traffic as crews tried to unclog a drain.
Cars in the parking lot were flooded and owners had to wait until the water receded.
This is not an area that typically holds water. The problem was that an inch of rain fell in less than half an hour.
It did clear up once the rain stopped. The sewers finally had a chance to catch up by 7 p.m. Monday.
