Federal money will help repair two Cleveland marinas
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO/CBS) -
New federal resources have been awarded to Cuyahoga County for recovery projects following Hurricane Sandy's severe storms and
flooding this past fall.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown announced that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will receive $3,482,283.75 for supplies and
labor to repair the piers and docks, water lines, and electrical damage at Edgewater Marina.
The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works will receive $1,297,007.87 to repair multiple
docks at Whiskey Island Marina.
Repairs at both Edgewater Marina and Whiskey Island Marina
are under way, with projected completion of Edgewater Marina repairs by May
2014, and Whiskey Island Marina repairs in the next 4-5 weeks.
