TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Jurors have reached a verdict in the Moody Manor murder trial after continuing deliberations Friday.
Keshawn Jennings and Antwaine Jones are accused of fatally shooting 1-year-old Keondra Hooks last summer and seriously injuring her sister, Leondra.
James Moore was also involved in the shooting, but took a plea deal to testify against Jennings and Jones.
Both Jennings and Jones have been found guilty on all eight charges. Prosecutor Andy Lastra said the jury made the right decision, and called the death of Keondra Hooks one of the more horrendous crimes ever seen in Toledo
"We were saying it was about three particular focuses, all of them being related to gang violence," Lastra said. "And, this circumstance, that happened on August the 9th, was just gang violence."
Jones' family, however, disagrees.
"I also feel as if, as if there's no proof towards it," said Jones' sister Mia. "We all love him and I believe we all just really wanted him to come home."
Sentencing for Jones and Jennings is scheduled to begin July 23. A pre-trial hearing for Moore is set for July 9.
