(WMC-TV) - A Memphis mom says her MLGW bill seems inflated, but she cannot get help because she has a job.
Brandy Holmes received a cut-off notice because she is having trouble keeping up with her bill.
Her 1,581 square foot home averages a $500 per month utility bill. She says she leaves her air conditioner on 78 degrees and turns it off when it is cool enough.
She does not qualify for assistance programs because they mainly only help senior citizens and people who are unemployed.
Tuesday on Action News 5 at 5 p.m., Kontji Anthony will get answers from MLGW on the cost of Holmes' bills and what help may be out there for people in her situation.
