Travel delays after train track derailment

MELBERN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A train derailment on Amtrak's tracks is causing delays for costumers due to Wednesday night's storms.

People onboard a train from Indiana towards Toledo scheduled for 11 p.m. Wednesday night was delayed by 3 hours. People eventually had to take a bus to make it to Toledo.

A train that was suppose to head to Chicago at 5:22 a.m. was delayed by an hour.

Delays are expected throughout the day. The Williams County Sheriff says it will take anywhere from 24 to 36 hours to make repairs to the Amtrak rail line.

Nearly 40 cars went down on, or off the tracks Wednesday night.

So far, there are no cancellations.
