A single car accident in Pierce Township has left one dead.
Police are investigating following a crash on White Oak Road just south of State Route 125. The accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Robert Eversol Jr, 35 of Amelia, was driving his vehicle northeast on White Oak Road when the accident occurred.
Authorities say that Eversole failed to negotiate a curb and drove off the right side of the roadway. Eversole's vehicle struck several mailboxes and continued to strike a culvert.
The vehicle went airborne proceeding over a driveway, striking a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest in a yard.
Eversole was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle where he sustained life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Authorities remind drivers to buckle up while traveling.
