SANDUSKY COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -
are in the process of cleaning up a minor oil spill in Sandusky County.
spill occurred at an oil drill site in Rice Township, just north of Fremont,
Wednesday night. A well casing owned by the drilling company M&M Royalty
broke, and up to five barrels of crude oil leaked out.
exact cause of the break has yet to be determined, but according to the Ohio Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA), over 300 gallons of oil began leaking onto the field
around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Lindsay Township first-responders were able to cap
