Toledo Edison crews worked to restore power to a west Toledo area early Sunday morning following a power surge.
Around 1 a.m., crews responded to a power outage on Lambert Drive.
The Toledo Fire Department was called to the scene to check surrounding homes and make sure a fire wasn't caused by the outage.
No fires were located, but several residents say their power outlets were warm to the touch.
According to Toledo Edison's online outage map, 20 to 100 homes were affected by the surge.
The cause is pending investigation.
