Former Oregon mayor Marge Brown had a plan when she left politics in 2009.
She completed that plan today.
Brown crossed into Barry County, Michigan Sunday afternoon.
It was her final county to visit, in her 21 year journey to go to every single county in the United States.
She had to record every county she crossed into.
In June, she traveled about 8-thousand miles out west, to get a lot of it done.
She says it's part of the "extra miler club."
Brown said her children and a surprise guest were there today for the finish.
"My granddaughter flew home from Nashville, even though she texted me and said, ‘Grammy I'd love to be with you but I can't,' and lo and behold she was in this truck that pulled up. I cried," said former Mayor Brown.
For her efforts, Marge Brown received accolades from Senator Sherrod Brown, Ohio State Representative Matt Szollosi, and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.
