at the Toledo Area Humane Society say there's been an increase in the number of
cats and kittens that need to be adopted.
an effort to find them homes, the Humane Society is reducing adoption
costs to just $20 for cats and kittens. They come spayed or neutered, up to
date on shots, and micro-chipped.
now, there are about 30 cats and 50 kittens in the shelter and more than 200 in
foster care. Leaders say they're working hard to make sure the animals end up
in the right place.
because we reduce our adoption fees, our adoption criteria does not change,"
said Cyndi Condit, marketing manager for the Humane Society. "We're always
looking for loving homes where they're going to be well-cared for and get the
vet care they need."
special rate promotion runs until Sunday. There's also an extra discount for
black cats or kittens. They can be brought home for just $5.
