TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Chrysler sales are on the rise, and with the new, anticipated Jeep Cherokee, they are expected to soar even more.

New and used car sales are up 25 percent at Grogan's Towne in Toledo, and they expect business to keep booming.

Denny Amrhein, a managing partner at Grogan's Towne, says Chrysler is on a roll. Last year was Grogan's Towne's best year in new and used car sales in the dealership's 55-year history. Amrhein says the numbers already show 2013 surpassing last year's sales.

"It's just great, you know, when every year you keep doing better than you did when it was your biggest year ever," he said. "It makes you a pretty happy person."

Chrysler sales have increased ever month for four years. The company is reporting a net income of $507 million in the second quarter of 2013 – up 16 percent from 2012.

Amrhein says Chrysler's growth is due to their product, quality and good-looking cars. He has projected another big increase when the new Jeep Cherokee arrives this fall.

"It's gonna be another 20 percent, we figure, [that] we're going to be up," he said.

Amrhein says there were product and supplier issues that pushed the Cherokee's debut back to fall, but Chrysler says it expects to begin shipping Cherokees to dealers by September.
