(Toledo News Now) -
Once again, I'd like to talk directly
to viewers who watch us through Dish Network.
There is a very good chance that WTOL
will be taken off the Dish system July 31 at midnight.
For the last several months, our
parent company, Raycom Media, has been negotiating in good faith with Dish, but
unfortunately, this large satellite company doesn't seem to have the same sense
of urgency and a new agreement has not been reached.
We are only asking Dish to pay what
other local providers - both cable and satellite - are already paying. You are paying 100 percent of your Dish TV
bill each month, and you should receive 100 percent of the channels. If our signal is disrupted, you should consider
asking for a rebate from Dish.
You can still get WTOL free
over-the-air and see our news streamed on ToledoNewsNow.com.
If you want to see WTOL remain on Dish
Network, please call 1-888-926-5457 and let them know.
I'd also like to apologize to you for
any inconvenience this may cause, and I want to thank you for your loyalty to WTOL.
Again, this message only applies to
Dish Network customers. Thank you.
