The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a 2-vehicle accident that occurred Friday, around 3:30 p.m.
Juanita Crawford, 73, of Sandusky, was traveling south on Campbell Street in Perkins Township, Erie County. Crawford failed to yield at the stop sign on Bogart Road, and pulled into the path of Irene Mann, 75, of Vickery, who was traveling west on Bogart.
Mann's Ford Taurus struck Crawford's Pontiac Grand Prix on the driver's side.
Crawford sustained fatal injuries, and Mann sustained incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash.
Both were wearing seatbelts at the time, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The intersection was closed for approximately two hours.
