TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
You probably don't know his name or what he looks like.
But you know that voice.
It's not deep. Compared to most stereotypical public address voices, it's not even that excitable.
It's just smooth. That's the voice that dominates the sports scene in Toledo.
In just three years since graduating from BGSU, 25-year-old Anthony Bellino has become the public address voice for sports in town.
"I enjoy it," said Bellino, "I like going from spot to spot."
Check out this schedule. In the summer he emcees Mud Hen Games. In the fall he does the public address at UT football. In the winter he handles hoops for Toledo and does back up at Michigan. When he can, he also works with the Walleye.
"The most difficult thing is scheduling. Fortunately I have not had too much overlap," said Anthony.
Anthony loves his job and he loves Toledo. However, he has his eyes set on bigger things.
Recently he tried out to be the voice of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. He is in the final two for the job and is currently waiting to hear if he got the call.
The Jaguars are letting the fans pick via text message. Just text "pa 2" to 58154 to vote for Anthony.
Anthony will find out later this week if he got the job.
