JACKSON TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A Tiffin man has been charged with operating under the influence for the sixth time.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested Dwayne G. Atkins, of Tiffin, after investigating a crash Sunday morning. Shortly after 11 a.m., trooper say Atkins was driving a Ford Mustang westbound on County Road 592 west of County Road 5, when he lost control and drove off the north side of the road, hitting a mailbox.
Atkins was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
He submitted to a blood test and results are pending. He was cited for felony OVI, driving under an OVI suspension, as well as failure to control the vehicle.
Atkins is scheduled to appear in Fostoria Municipal Court Thursday.
