2012 wasn't a banner year for the St. Francis Knights. First year coach Chris Hedden lead the team to a 3-7 overall record.
Hedden says the Knights will adjust their game plan to the strengths of their players this season in an effort to win more games.
"I think you know – it [last season] was a struggle as far as personnel with what we're trying to do offensively. We're still searching through that. There are things we did in the summer, and there are things we're going to look at now and once we get into official practice. We're going to try to tailor it around what our kids will do best," said Hedden.
Players seem to be buying into Hedden's system.
"Being here with another year of coach Hedden, it's going to be a lot more comfortable. We know the expectations. Every day we're out here working hard and trying to get better," said one player.
St. Francis opens their season on August 30 against Southview.
