Suspects arrested at nearby hotel after Subway robbery

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Perrysburg Township Police say two suspects were arrested at a hotel directly behind the Subway one of them robbed early Wednesday morning.

Police say 25-year-old Amanda Columber robbed the Subway at 10677 Fremont Pike at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, then fled to the EconoLodge directly behind the sandwich shop.

Police say Columber used a weapon in the robbery, but did not say what type of weapon. A Subway employee had to be hospitalized because of injuries received during the robbery.

Police responded to the call shortly after 6:40 a.m. and identified a suspect. A warrant was singed for one of the rooms at the EconoLodge, and Columber and 30-year-old Chad Martin were arrested. Columber faces aggravated robbery and felonious assault charges. Martin was charged with felony drug paraphernalia.  

Both were transported to Perrysburg Municipal Court and will be taken to the Wood County Justice Center.
