Cleveland Police say that the male responsible for a fatal stabbing in the 1200 block East 61st Street was not charged and has been released.
On Saturday, August 24, at 1 p.m., officers say that an altercation took place between a property owner and his prospective tenant.
During the dispute, it is reported that a shot was fired but no one was injured by the gun.
At some point a knife was brought into the ordeal and the landlord stabbed the other man but not without being wounded himself.
At the end of it all, the man who came to see the property with the intentions of possibly moving in was dead and the landlord was taken to University Hospital under police watch as the investigation continued.
Ultimately authorities say that the property owner was set free and that the case will be presented to the Prosecutor's Office.
