Some Findlay-based companies are now working together to attract customers.
The days of drawing in customers with just a ‘Now Open' sign are a thing of the past. Now several Findlay companies are working to draw in business online.
As a baker, Jen Fulton is a bit of a perfectionist. While she's perfected the craft of cake design and cookie décor at Buggy Whip Bakery, she admits she needed a little help when it comes to marketing.
"Technology changes enough that you need to be up with the new technology," Fulton said.
She says more of her customers are turning on their computer to shop before ever walking inside her store.
"A lot of brides do research online before they make their final decision, so they shop around online before they actually come to us," she said.
Fulton is one of several local business owners turning to Go Grow Strategies, another Findlay company that specializes in drumming up sales through websites.
"We want to give businesses the tools to grow and teach them how to use it, and then continue helping them along the way with new tools, and just keeping them current," said Michelle Frank, from Go Grow.
It's a partnership both businesses say is paying off.
