A hiker who got lost on a trail in the Scottsdale Preserve was rescued in good condition Sunday afternoon, first responders said.
Twelve Scottsdale firefighters on the department's technical rescue team, along with air support from the Phoenix Fire Department, located the woman on one of the preserve's many trails.
The hiker, realizing her predicament, called her boyfriend, who in turn notified 911 just after 10 a.m.
She was found seven to eight miles from her starting point - the Gateway Trailhead, said Scottsdale fire Capt. Danny Ables.
The woman was evaluated by Scottsdale Fire Department paramedics. She did not require any further treatment and was released.
