On Wednesday, a gas leak was detected in the neighborhood surrounding St. Anthony's School in Putnam County.
Emergency personnel recommended that all students and staff evacuate the building for precautionary measures. Everyone was transported by bus to Columbus Grove Schools around 12:30 p.m. Students will remain there for the rest of the day and be dismissed at 2:50 p.m.
For students who normally ride the bus home, their procedure will not change. Students who walk home will be dismissed at 2:50 p.m. Students who get picked up from school can be picked up on Cross Street at the sidewalk entrance leading to the flag pole.
Dominion Gas is making repairs at the scene and has capped the leak.
