Cincinnati Police say that alcohol and speed appear to be factors after an accident left one man dead in Riverside.
Police were called to the 3300 block of River Road around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday morning after receiving reports of an accident in the area.
Officers say that James Maness Jr., 47, was driving his pickup eastbound on River Road when the accident occurred. Police say that Maness failed to maintain control of his vehicle. The vehicle went left of center and struck the curb. Authorities say that the pickup left the roadway and struck a tree.
The Hamilton County Coroner's Office pronounced Manes dead at the scene. Police say alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash.
The incident is currently under investigation.
