Cuyahoga Falls Police: Man breaks into house, severely beats woman

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) -

An 18-year-old man is charged after a violent home invasion in Cuyahoga Falls.

It happened Sunday around 5:30 a.m. on 3rd Street.

The female victim reported a known male assailant broke into her home through a side door, made death threats and assaulted her to the point where she lost consciousness. She was then tied up and several of her belongings were stolen.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where she is recovering from her injuries. Her condition is not known.

The suspect, later identified as Alexander P. Cooper, was apprehended by Stow Police a short time afterward.

Cooper is charged with attempted aggravated murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.
