‘This is Me' campaign features women from across the area without makeup, and
it's taking Toledo by storm.
Baumhower was inspired by his three daughters when he came up with the
campaign. He says he wanted to celebrate local women courageous enough to be
photographed and displayed without makeup on.
wanted to be able to take my daughters into a room and show them…these
incredible backgrounds and stories," Baumhower said. "It really came from a
selfish thing, but it's evolved into something…incredibly beautiful."
photos will be on display Friday night during a fundraiser at the Blarney.
Money raised will go toward ‘Girls on the Run,' an organization for third,
fourth and fifth-grade girls that promotes healthy lifestyles and self-esteem.
goal is to reach every girl in northwest Ohio, no matter of their financial
ability to afford the programs," said Sarah Diller, a board member for Girls on
the Run. "All the funds raised here will go toward scholarships to help every
girl have the opportunity."
goal is to get the program into Toledo Public Schools, and is hoping to raise
at least $3,000. But he says it goes beyond the Friday night event.
