AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

An astute Summit County Metro Park ranger helped nab three burglary suspects in Akron.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday, the ranger observed three people walking through the wooded area just north of a house in the 800 block of Merridge Road. Several Akron units responded to the area of Treaty Line Road and Merriman Road. Two of the three suspects were apprehended.

Officers and detectives later determined the three suspects forced open a north side window and smashed a tempered-glass door to the lower level of a house on Merridge Road and stole an iPod and miscellaneous jewelry. The iPod was recovered in the wooded area.

Officers arrested Autumn Marie Eggleston, 20, and Evan M. Parker, 25. They were both charged with burglary and booked into the Summit County Jail. The third suspect was identified as Adam C. Blash, 24. Detectives signed a warrant for burglary on Blash. Blash was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday morning. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
