CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A handful of country music stars were in town on Wednesday night to put on a show to benefit our troops. B105's hosted their annual show for the United Service Organizations.

Tonight Sara Evans, Craig Campbell, Danielle Bradbery, and Rachel Farley took the stage.

"We love playing music, it's what we do. It's fun and I'm amazed we get to do it for a living so it's not a huge burden to come out and give our time for something that matters. We're happy to do it," said Farley.

All of the money raised from tickets sales and through a silent auction benefit the United Service Organizations.

"Most of our budget goes towards family readiness programs for the guard reserve while they're deployed," said former Vietnam vet, Dan Meeks.

Meeks says the USO provides morale, welfare, and recreation to uniformed military personnel and it's great to see such talented artists take time out of their busy schedule.

"Service members can perform better if they know that their families are taken care of at home and that's very important to them," explains Meeks. "Being in the military in those days wasn't as popular as it is now so it's wonderful to see the community support for our military."

"It's always great to support our troops and I'm happy to be a part of it," said Farley.

Farley who's an up and coming artist says she's thrilled to support the military. She's visited the Queen City before and says there are a few spots she has to stop by before she leaves.

"Skyline Chili and Graeter's ice cream which I already had Skyline for lunch and I've got four pints of Graeter's Ice Cream ready to take home," said Farley.

Preparations for next year's event are already underway and for more information on how you can donate to the USO locally visit this link.
