A Wood County man who had faced murder charges in the death of his infant son has pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
Brain Steinmiller, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of child endangering on Wednesday.
Steinmiller had been charged with murder in the death of his 3-month-old son Carter, who died of head trauma at Wood County Hospital on May 5, 2012.
The Wood County Prosecutor's Office is recommending a ten year prison term for Steinmiller when he is sentenced on November 22.
Steinmiller's wife, Rebecca Steinmiller, faces child endangering charges in the case. Rebecca is due in court in late October.
