Thousands participated in Cleveland's race for the Cure
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
The rain did not stop thousands from showing up at the 20th anniversary of Cleveland's Race for the Cure, the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio's largest fundraising activity.
The19 Action News anchors and reporters that played a huge role in covering the event includes Tony Zarrella, Catherine Bosley, Denise Dufala, Ramona Robinson, Tiffani Tucker, George Smith and Beth Mcleod. The reporters and photographers captured the dedication of the walkers, runners, supporters and sponsors of the event. We spoke to survivors, those currently battling the disease and supporters of the fight against breast cancer.
The event weekend kicked off with terminal tower going "PINK" on Friday, September 20th to celebrate this wonderful milestone for the Cleveland Race for the Cure
Each step taking by these individuals brings us one step closer to a cure and the funds raised will help provide breast health services to those most in need in Northeast Ohio.
