(Toledo News Now) -

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 80 percent of diseases are transmitted by touch. That's a good reminder for all food handlers to remember to wash their hands.

Reynolds Garden Café along Reynolds Road is in violation of using bare hands to prepare food. It received nine violations on Sept. 9.

The waitress was witnessed cutting toast without gloves. Unsafe food temperatures were also noted, and raw shell eggs were seen sitting out at room temperature.

Eight violations for Tim Horton's on Navarre in Oregon. An employee did not wash their hands before putting gloves on. Food was stored on the floor, some cleaning is needed to clean up food debris on floors, and employee's meals need to find a new home away from food being cooked and served.

The Dog House Pub and Grub on Lewis Avenue in Toledo had four violations: build up in the ice machine, the front door was propped open, and flies were reported in the facility.

Great news if you're a fan of the Arby's on Alexis Road. It had no violations during its inspection early this month. Same goes for Downtown Latte on South St. Clair in Toledo.

But Hot Ready Freddy/Armore Pizzeria on Broadway had five violations. Hand soap wasn't available for use in the kitchen, no dates were marked on select foods, no one working during the inspection was food safety certified, and a door was propped open.

The Bar on Jefferson in Toledo wraps up this week's report with no violations.
