Police: Driver who caused deadly crash was drunk and under suspended license

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -
An Akron woman has been charged in a deadly crash.
Marie A. Lott, 43, was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and OVI.
On September 17, Lott was operating a 2000 Ford Expedition while under the influence of alcohol and while under a driver license suspension. Lott lost control of the vehicle, ran off the left side of the road, struck a wooden utility pole snapping it in half.
The front seat passenger, Dwayne Hammond, 49, was seriously injured and later succumbed to his injuries and passed away the next day on September 18 at Akron City Hospital.
