Mike Bell has already turned down the endorsement of the Lucas County
Republican Party. Tuesday night, the party's executive committee decided not to
endorse Bell's challenger, Councilman Mike Collins.
says he's running as an independent candidate, but would welcome any support if
it's offered. He already has endorsements from the United Auto Workers, the
AFLCIO, the Police Patrolman's Union, and the Firefighter's Local 92. He's
