(RNN) – The White House is getting some help from a popular internet-friendly approach in promoting its Affordable Care act to the digital age.
The Adorable Care Act is a collection of adorable internet memes featuring baby animals and touting portions of Obamacare's initiatives. Many of the meme's features the website healthcare.gov, the White House's site for information on ACA.
The site's premise: "Sharing the Adorable Care Act, one cute animal at a time."
The Adorable Care Act features its own Twitter account, launched Sept. 20 and Tumblr blog, which launched on July 18. The person who runs the social media for the Adorable Care Act is unknown. The White House has denied it's behind the Adorable Care Act's creation.
"Get all your ducks in an adorable row, visit healthcare.gov," said one meme that featured a trio of baby ducks.
Or in one the features the animal kingdom's biggest rivalry – dogs versus cats – it says "Will be able to afford a proper eye patch thanks to savings from Health Insurance Marketplaces on Oct. 1."
Many of the initiatives featured on the memes include preventative care, members of Generation Y being able to stay on their parents insurance until 26 years old and the coverage of pre-existing conditions.
The White House has retweeted two of the Adorable Care Act's messages, showing signs of approval, which has already been rebuffed by Obamacare's opposition.
"@AdorableCareAct #Obamacare will put your privacy at risk, but these ducks are cute! #optout," said one tweet by Generation Opportunity, a group that has also make headlines with its YouTube videos opposing Obamacare.
