(Toledo News Now) -
begins the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure weekend.
Friday is Power
of Pink Day, when all are encouraged to wear pink. Saturday is
the first ever Race for the Cure event in Findlay. WTOL 11 will be live in Findlay on Saturday
morning to capture the magic and the emotion.
And, of course,
this Sunday is the signature event of northwest Ohio in downtown Toledo. With the support of the entire WTOL 11 news
and production team, Chrys Peterson will once again lead close to 20,000
participants as they gather to collectively offer love and support to breast
cancer victims and their families and friends.
This is a
special, special day in Toledo, which includes hours of live coverage on WTOL
11. If you have not signed up, do it now.
If you have already registered to race, thank you. Know that your participation is meaningful
and so deeply appreciated.
The Susan G.
Komen Race for Cure in Toledo is one of the most successful Komen events in
America. You should all be proud of
that. See you this weekend
