The life of a horse and buggy operator was abruptly ended after colliding with a pick-up truck in Osgood, IN on Thursday evening.
Police say that Daniel X Stoltzfus, 18, traveled northbound on U.S. 421 near C.R. 450S when the buggy crossed into the southbound lane and was struck head on by a 2001 Ford F250, driven by Wilma E. Asher, 53.
The horse was killed as a result of the impact as Stoltzfus was ejected into the northbound lane where he was allegedly struck by at least one or two vehicles. Both drivers of these vehicles did not suffer from any injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Indiana State Police.
