Tallmadge Police say that progress is being made in solving the murders of Wendy Ralston and her 5-year-old son Peyton.
Enough progress that they now call Wendy's boyfriend a suspect rather than a person of interest.
The police aren't naming the suspect is also Peyton's father.
Although the suspect has not been charged with any crime, he is no longer just a person of interest.
Officers say that solving the case will depend heavily on forensic and DNA testing.
Much of that has been done and now detectives are preparing a case to take before a grand jury for possible charges.
The live-in boyfriend of the victim provided a lot of information on the night of the discovery which has been determined as mostly inaccurate.
If an aggravated murder charge can be gotten we are told the case would be a possible death penalty case.
In the meantime, calling hours for Wendy Ralston and Peyton are this afternoon with funeral services on the morning of Saturday, September 28.
