A suspicious package found downtown was determined to be harmless by authorities on Saturday afternoon.
Police were led to 6th and Vine Street after a
call detailed that a suspicious backpack was lying unattended on the curb
around 3:30 p.m.
The Cincinnati Police and additional units secured the area one block in each direction while the Cincinnati Fire Department Bomb unit used a mobile robot to gain access to the contents of the backpack for a period of two hours.
No dangerous items were found and the streets were reopened.
