The Maumee Teacher's Union says the Maumee City Schools' Board of Education has decided it will not comply with a new contract ratified by the union and the Maumee Board earlier in September.
The contract had been reached through a fact-finding report released in August.
The union claims the district is directly violating the agreement by informing them that they will begin retroactively collecting an insurance premium increase going back to January 2013.
The union says the insurance increase agreed to in the fact-finding report is not supposed to kick in until January 1st, 2014.
The board is holding a special meeting Monday night to discuss the situation.
