Toledo Police have identified a man they say punched a female Family Dollar employee in the face during an attempted robbery last week.
Toledo Police posted a surveillance photo of the suspect on their Facebook page on September 27, asking for the public's help identifying him. On Monday, police posted that the man had been identified as 50-year-old James Ball.
Police say Ball attempted to steal some items from the Family Dollar on Broadway Street in south Toledo on September 25. When a female employee approached Bell he punched her in the face and fled on foot, according to Toledo Police. Police say Bell is also wanted for another Toledo robbery, and currently has two open arrest warrants for robbery, two for larceny, two for trespassing and a contempt of court warrant from Maumee.
Ball is 6'1" tall and weighs about 240 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStopper at 419-255-1111 or send a private message to Toledo Police on Facebook.
