Toledo News Now has been overwhelmed with messages from
viewers about bullying situations, both current and in the past. The stories of
frustration, pain, anger, helplessness are flooding our inboxes and filling our
It's a sign to us that something needs to change. But what?
Well - we don't know yet. But we're going to start somewhere. It's going to
start with a conversation. Parents, school administrators, law enforcement, victims,
bullies – everyone is invited to take part in the conversation on the "Bullying: We
need to talk" Facebook event.
The event is a forum for everyone to talk; a place where you
can tell your story, share an experience, share a frustration, share a
solution. Success or failure, suggestion or complaint, it's welcome here. This
is an open place to start a dialogue about bullying in our community - what
we're seeing - and how we're dealing with it.
The buck has to stop somewhere. So today it stops here.
