Two men are arrested after an attempted robbery at a Fairfield park.
It happened Thursday evening at Harbin Park.
The victim told police that two males approached him at shelter #10 demanding his money. The victim reported that one of the teens was armed with a shotgun.
When the victim didn't immediately comply with their demands, police say the suspects fled into the woods in the park. Police searched the park and surrounding neighborhoods and arrested the pair on Congress Drive later the same night.
Alex Simmons, 19, was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Stephen Kerr, 18, was charged with Complicity to Aggravated Robbery.
Both individuals are being incarcerated at the Butler County Jail until their initial appearance in the Fairfield Municipal Court on October 15, 2013 at 9:00 AM.
