TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Ohio Department of Transportation crews are preparing to do more work on the I-475/75 interchange this weekend, and some closures may affect drivers' commutes.
The first closure starts Friday night. The ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475 will be closed starting at 10 p.m. and will not reopen until 5 a.m. Saturday.
Then, crews will begin work on the ramp from southbound I-75 to westbound I-475. The ramp will be closed Saturday morning and is expected to reopen Sunday at 1 p.m.
Finally, the ramp from ProMedica Parkway to westbound I-475 will also close Friday at 10 p.m. until Sunday at 1 p.m.
Detours will be posted at all these closures, but it may be faster - and safer - for drivers to avoid the area.
Throughout the weekend, various parts of I-475 could be reduced to one lane, as well. From 9 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday, southbound I-475 between Angola Road and Dorr Street will be reduced to one lane for bridge work.
