Don't Waste Your Money: First Black Friday predictions released

Posted: Updated:
(Toledo News Now) -

The countdown is on until Black Friday.

Not sure what to buy or when to buy it? You may be interested in a report recently released about some of the best deals you can expect - and when to find them.

Sure, the Black Friday rush is still more than a month away, but it's never too early to start planning.

Deal News says if you're in the market for a TV, tablet, or game console, it's time to start planning because prices will fall hard as of Thanksgiving. You don't want to buy a $700 TV next week that will be lowered to $550 in November.

Among Deal News' predictions for Black Friday 2013:

TVs

-55-inch HDTVs will drop to $429 from around $700 currently.

-60-inch Plasma HDTVs will fall to $529 from $800.

-47-inch LCD HDTVs, which used to be considered "big," will sell for as low as $269.

-32-inch LCD TVs, which are perfect for bedrooms, will drop as low as $179.

Tablets & Video Game Consoles

-Google's Nexus 7 tablet will sell for $200.

-Apple's iPad, current generation, will go on sale for $339.

-Microsoft's XBox 360 will fall to $189, as the new Xbox One goes on sale.

-Sony's Playstation 3 will drop to $200, again with a new one coming out.

However, Deal News says don't plan on deals on the new PS4 or XBbox One because they will be in very limited supply.

Doesn't That Stink?

But from the doesn't that stink file comes the fact that you're going to have to line up earlier than ever this year to get those deals!

With Macy's talking an 8 p.m. start time on Thanksgiving, 8 o'clock has become the new midnight.

At Toys "R" Us, Walmart, Target and many other stores, the deals start right after dinnertime, so forget about the pumpkin pie. Toys "R" Us opened at 8 p.m. last year, and Target opened at 9 p.m.

Bottom Line

The days where the big deals started Friday morning are over. Black Friday is now Thanksgiving night.

The good news is there's no need to stand outside all night long anymore. That way you don't waste your time and you don't waste your money.
