TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A measure presented to Toledo City Council on Friday calls for the city to spend $10,000 on operating costs for the Spitzer Building.
This comes in addition to $5,000 the city provided last month for the building's operating expenses.
The Spitzer Building, which was Toledo's first steel-framed skyscraper, is scheduled to close Dec. 1. It's currently owned by California businessman Koray Urgur, who hasn't paid the building's property taxes or mortgage payments.
