Dewayne Thompson, wanted in the wounding and kidnapping of 17-year-old Katelyn Beard, has been captured by Jackson Police. He was taken into custody around 5:45 in west Jackson near where Beard's vehicle was found earlier today.

fight over money from oil in Adrian is now heading to court. Former mayor and
now mayoral candidate James Berryman has filed a complaint against the City of
says the city violated the Open Meeting Act when they set up a trust fund for
oil money. According to the complaint, he says the trust fund will cause harm
to the city by not allowing commissioners of the administration to access money
from the fund in case of a financial emergency.
