APPLICATION DATES FOR CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE
The Salvation Army to accept application for Holiday Assistance
September 25, 2013 (NORTHWEST OHIO) – The Salvation Army will be accepting applications for Holiday Assistance throughout the month of October for residents in Lucas County. Applications will be accepted at the Lucas County Jobs & Family Services offices located at 3210 Monroe Street on October 1, 3, 8, and 10 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Applications will be accepted at The Salvation Army offices located at 620 N Erie Street from Monday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 23 through Friday, October 25 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Applications will also be accepted downtown on Tuesday, October 24 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, as well as Saturday, October 26 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. In 2012, The Salvation Army assisted 2,259 families during the Christmas season through Christmas Assistance, and 155 more families through the "Adopt-A-Family" program. The Salvation Army is currently looking for individuals or groups who are interested in participating in the annual "Adopt-A-Family" or "Adopt-A-Kettle" campaigns.
