The student government is conducting a survey asking those who take classes on campus, if they think smoking should be banned completely. If students are in favor of a ban, student government leaders say they will draft legislation to present to university officials.
Many students are happy to have the chance to voice their opinions.
"I think it's a great idea to ask students how they feel about something. There's a lot of students on campus who will be impacted by this," said Randi Wild. "I personally don't smoke, but I know a lot of people do and I know a lot of them. And their locations that they have already for smoking...people don't really use them."
The survey runs until next week.
We'll continue to follow this story and let you know how students voted.
